In our show “Passion for Flamenco”, presented and directed by our artistic director Juan Carlos Del Pozo, the finest performers of the moment form the Torres Bermejas ensemble to take us on a journey through the different styles of flamenco—from the soleá to the seguidilla, passing through alegrías and ending with bulerías and sevillanas—all accompanied by flamenco guitar and singing.

Tablao Flamenco La Carmela is located on Victoria Street, just steps away from the central Puerta del Sol. This venue, dedicated to flamenco singing and dancing, is housed in the old coal cellars of the historic Taberna La Carmela, now blending traditional gastronomy with flamenco through the artistry of dancers Juan Andrés Maya and Raquel Martos.
In a cosy, vaulted space, Tablao Flamenco La Carmela brings together top-level artists and acclaimed masters of flamenco singing and guitar. Featuring a cast of nine performers in an unforgettable setting, the one-hour show offers a truly unique flamenco experience in Madrid.

LA QUIMERA

We bring to our tablao the roots of flamenco—essence of masters, forgotten dances and songs. An old recipe with two basic ingredients: soul and heart, seasoned with the visceral dedication of our artists, guided by improvisation, emotion and feeling, without a script or structured composition.
There’s no sound system here, no microphones. Our philosophy is to enjoy art in its most direct form. Our Flamenco Parties (Juergas Flamencas) from 1:00 to 5:00 in the morning are also well known for their spontaneous and intimate atmosphere, shaking up Madrid’s nightlife. We also offer introductory flamenco lessons on weekends with prior reservation.

Every evening, Monday to Sunday, the tablao offers a performance crafted for both the most discerning aficionado and newcomers wishing to experience flamenco at the highest level. Each show features top stars of dance, singing and guitar. Corral de la Morería changes its programme weekly, hosting leading figures of contemporary flamenco—artists who fill the world’s greatest theatres—yet offering the rare opportunity to enjoy them up close, where the energy is truly moving. As a centre for production and choreographic creation, Corral de la Morería develops shows with today’s greatest flamenco artists, premiering new works in an intimate space.
