The Madrid Flamenco Biennial pays well-deserved tribute to Madrid guitarist Víctor Monge Serranito by hosting in its program the Víctor Monge Serranito Guitar Cycle, which will reach its climax with a concert featuring three great names in flamenco guitar: Gerardo Núñez, Dani de Morón, and Joni Jiménez.
Eighteen Strings will be a grand gala where the unaccompanied guitar will be the sole protagonist, thanks to the art of three great guitar players from different generations, with diverse origins and each with their own particular way of expressing art.
Maestro Gerardo Núñez, Madrid-born Joni Jiménez, recently awarded the Bordón Minero, and Dani de Morón, one of the most significant names in avant-garde flamenco guitar, will be the trio of aces in a night where the guitar will sound unadorned, with no nuances other than those of the performers themselves. During the evening, Maestro Gerardo Núñez will pass the baton to the other two guitarists so that each can leave their mark on a stage where, in choral fashion, all three together—the eighteen strings—will provide the golden finale to this unique evening.
